My name is Vic, and I’m the owner and operator of Pastime Lawncare LLC, proudly serving Star, Idaho exclusively. I specialize in residential lawns only, allowing me to focus on quality, consistency, and attention to detail; not volume or rushed routes. I intentionally keep my service area small, and my client list limited, so every lawn receives the care it deserves. Your yard is never treated like just another stop, it’s a reflection of my work and reputation in the community.
 

I am a certified Master Gardener with the University of Idaho Extension, Ada County and an ISDA Licensed Professional Applicator. Combined with years of hands-on experience, this allows me to provide lawn care that’s not only professional, but properly timed, correctly applied, and tailored to residential properties.

As the sole owner and operator, I personally handle every service visit. When you hire Pastime Lawncare, you always know exactly who is working on your property. For larger seasonal cleanup projects, I may occasionally be joined by one, or both, of my sons, allowing us to work efficiently while maintaining the same high standards of care and attention to detail.

I use industry-leading EGO battery-powered equipment, selected specifically for smaller residential lawns. This approach provides quiet operation, clean results, and avoids the turf damage and soil compaction often caused by oversized commercial equipment.
 

My equipment and process are designed with neighborhoods in mind, ensuring professional results while being friendly to the homes and families I serve.

Experience, Education, and Attention to Detail

Before starting Pastime Lawncare, I spent 32 years serving my community with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. That career shaped my work ethic, discipline, and attention to detail; values I bring to every lawn I care for today.
 

After relocating to Star in 2022, I completed the University of Idaho Extension Master Gardener Program and continue to serve with the Ada County Master Gardeners. I also present annually through the Star Library’s "Grow Together at the Library" gardening program as part of the Master Gardener Series; helping local homeowners gain a clearer understanding of effective and responsible lawn care practices.
