Fertilization Program

Why Soil Testing Matters

Applying fertilizer without a soil test is mostly guesswork. A soil test shows what your lawn truly needs - and what it doesn’t. In our area, high pH can limit nutrient uptake, even with regular fertilization. As a certified Master Gardener, I focus on long-term lawn health, addressing underlying soil issues rather than using one-size-fits-all programs that often waste money; creating a healthier, greener, more resilient lawn.

pH Balancing Program

Give your lawn the foundation it needs to thrive. Our two-application soil pH program uses elemental sulfur to gently lower high soil pH, improving nutrient availability and promoting healthier, greener grass.

How it works:

  • Two applications per year: late spring and early fall

  • Timing matters: applied when soil temperatures are warm enough to activate beneficial microbes

  • Benefits: healthier roots, improved nutrient uptake, and a stronger, more resilient lawn

Because soil chemistry changes gradually, pH correction is a long-term process. This program is designed to steadily move your soil in the right direction and build lasting lawn health—not deliver quick, short-lived results.

Built For Treasure Valley Lawns

Healthy lawns are built over time, not forced with quick green-up fixes or heavy fertilizer. I focus on proper timing, balanced nutrition, and seasonally adjusted care that supports the lawn’s natural growth cycles. By avoiding excessive nitrogen and limiting applications during peak summer heat, your lawn stays stronger, more resilient, and better looking year after year.

4-Step Seasonal Program

  • Early Spring
Carefully timed based on soil temperatures and seasonal conditions.  This application focuses on preventing weeds before they germinate while providing a light, slow-release nitrogen feeding to encourage a steady, natural green-up without excessive early growth

  • Late Spring
As temperatures begin to rise, nutrition shifts to a lighter, controlled approach that supports root strength and prepares the lawn for summer stress without forcing unnecessary top growth.

  • Early Fall (September)
Nutrition supports recovery from summer stress and helps rebuild turf density; ideal timing for overseeding support.

  • Late Fall / Winter Prep (November)
The final application strengthens roots and improves winter hardiness, helping the lawn enter winter stronger and green up better in spring.

Program Options

To ensure the best possible results for your lawn, fertilizer services are offered in structured seasonal programs only. Individual one-off applications are not available.

Option 1:  4-Step Program (with Spring Pre-Emergent)

  • Spring pre-emergent applied to prevent annual grassy weeds such as crabgrass and foxtail

  • Seasonal nutrition to support healthy growth and recovery

  • Designed for long-term turf density and resilience

Option 2:  4-Step Program (Fertilizer only)

  • Seasonal nutrition only, no Spring pre-emergent

  • Ideal for established lawns that are thick, healthy, and not experiencing annual grassy weed pressure

Note: Pre-emergent is applied only when needed. Lawns
that are dense and healthy may not require it every spring
spring. I’ll help you choose the best program based on
your lawn’s health and growth.
